Our Story
For over 25 years, Kit and Sheryl have dedicated themselves full-time to breeding elite alpacas. With deep farming roots, they’ve focused on genetics over price—sourcing top-quality animals from the USA, Australia, and New Zealand.
Their commitment to excellence has placed Silverstream at the forefront of New Zealand’s alpaca industry.
Silverstream alpacas have won multiple Supreme Champion titles at major shows nationwide, including three National Supremes and the top honour at the 2007 Royal Show in Christchurch.
Beyond the farm, Kit has played a leading role in shaping the industry—serving in key positions on the Alpaca Association NZ's National Council for 14 years. His contribution was recognised with a Life Membership in 2016.
